Lazy Tuesday

Woke up to the depressing looking London and dragged myself out of bed to make myself a lazy breakfast - avocado crab stick salad (not so lazy after all, it did require some kinda of effort, like pulling open the fridge and cutting up the ingredients and mixing them in a bowl. Totally defy the term lazy.) Don't even talk about washing the dishes.

Pardon my occasional indie swing, London's weather is just making things harder. #londonliving

Lazy Avocado Kani Salad Recipe:
Ingredients:
1. Very ripped avocado (personally love the mushy texture)
2. Packaged crab sticks (or crab meat or lobster but then again it should be LAZY, hence accessibility was taken into account)
3. Cucumber (to contrast with the mushy avocado)
4. Hard boiled egg
5. Basically anything else according to personal preferences
6. Lastly, and most importantly, Kewpie mayonnaise, it makes all the difference

Read the first paragraph again for instructions. Kthxbye.
Feel free to have some food styling sesh. It's pretty fun, sometimes.

Grey on grey on grey.
The weather you don't get elsewhere.

Travelogue: Rockport, Massachusetts.

Sometimes in the midst of it all, I sometimes forget the importance of being earnest  curious. Here's to mid- Midterms week and a throwback to my favourite moment from freshman year. A second time just to see it all, eat it all and smell some salty air.

"Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you," ~ Dr. Seuss

Rockport, Massachusetts.

With squishy calamari

And New England's prideful lobster rolls

Where scallops are fried and ginormous...

And what I call chips are the good American fries.

All in a neighbourhood affair at The Red Skiff Seafood and Grill

Surrounded by a beach that holds true to its name, rocks. Rocks galore.

With glistening weeds of sea.

And the occasional jellyfish death.

When sleepytown meets childhood treats...

And smallish doors into Narnia

that bring about the children we once forgot we were...

Canon wars and fireworks shying away behind the blue gate.

To the journey home and painful reality of more midterms.

A week of breakfast

So, we haven't been posting in a while...  We're college students. But of course, I still had to eat.  Breakfast.

Fruit on toast.

Berries of blue...

with a splash of almonds.

Who ate my nectarine?

 Lazy energetic days

and giant fungi days

with condiments.

All natural and organic.

The first meals of many,

S.
